Deker 3,478
Watchable entertainment!!! To put the land size into perspective 7500 acres is a triangle with 3 sides of roughly 5 miles each!! Depends where you are standing though when you pull the trigger of course where the bullet "may" end up! Shotgun wise there were plenty of shots where traffic could easily be seen on adjoining roads! Problem with Scotland is the trespass laws are very different to England...any dipstick is allowed to wonder on your land and have a picnic!! (unless things have changed recently). jakeuk1 0
As much as you love/hate the program this is all the public have got to make up their minds about shooting sports. so as edited and daft as parts were, it put shooting in the limelight and should be congratulated. as for taking novices out shooting at wild animals? i think that was a bit of bad form, especially when they couldnt consistantly hit clays. the program has done more for public/shooting relations in a week than the BASC has in five years! i am a BASC member and know they do a lot hard work and pro shooting lobbying behind the scenes but after the program was aired i had people who knew i shot/ferreted and didnt agree with it, coming up to me saying they now understand why i do it! The BBC should be praised for airing a balanced program (finally) it was a tad biased as the anti's let their side down by being uneducated, hypersensitive, vain and pig headed (as we already knew!) I bet the BBC have recieved hundreds of anti letters/e-mails after airing this program, shouldnt we e-mail them too thanking them? just a thought............... Quote Link to post
