Lure Machine info

Alright all just woundered if anyone can tell me the best motor to use in a lure machine. Only reason for asking is I have a 5 month old whippet and need to get him chasing something as I dont know of anywhere, so if anyone can help with either the motor or places I can go much apprecated.Cheer

try motion control on ebay these are the motors for promatic clay traps if this helps never made 1 but seen plenty i could be wrong ive seen a few with old car starter motors also

 

I was thinking more along the lines of the starter motor as thats all Ive seen, but will give it a look. Cheers for the reply

All you need is a starter motor a cable drum a speed controler (maplins) and a 12volt bat make is as small as you can as they are a bitch to carry to far .iv made a few over the years for a few clubs and once you have made your first its easy and you will see where you can improve your next :victory:

I had a thread up with a Lure For Sale of which I Sold very quickly. People asked me how to build them and I told them so one of the Moderators removed my thread!! WHY? I have messaged IANB twice but i've had no reply as yet. MRD.

if it's any use to you theres a pedigree whippet racing club at Rochdale, you'll be able to give your dog some training runs there and race it when older if your interested.
