murraywatt 0
if your going to use them for mink your probably better digging a wooden tunnel into the bank and then slideing the cage in and out of it thats what ive used in the past with new cages after theyve been weathered of course, then you can have a few diffrent locations and just move the trap about, or even covering it with turf, the best one id seen was a cat cage that had been dug into the hill and turf put over it, it took root and just looks like a normal bit of the bank, just so hillwalkers didnt trash them but its up to you, just if your painting it best to make sure you dont gum up any mechanisms with paint Quote Link to post
badgeroy 3
If you are going to paint on galvanised, local paint shop and i think its called Eames and coat with that first it gives a key for the paint, i used it on a live catch fox trap. Quote Link to post
digdigger 1
no need to paint them mate you just need to weather them in so either leave them outside for a while or i find the best thing is to do is bury them for a while!!! Quote Link to post
