backyard rabbit snaring

Recommended Posts

These are the snares i have set in my backyard to catch some problem rabbits. I am a beginner and would appreciate any comments or suggestions. All i did was tie a store bought locking snare to an iron nail that is pounded into the ground, i don't have tealers or anything of that sort. I would be willing to buy some if anyone shipped to Canada. Ill hopefully be posting some pictures later on of snared rabbits. thanks.

You could make yourself an easy tealer out of fencing wire, would make things a bit easier. We cant use locking snares over here in UK, but same methods apply.

Hope you pick up some bunnies, good luck.

why are you using a cam lock , you will need to raise it up of the ground a wee bit as it will be creeping out , the last wire snare loop looks to big and set to low ,

they look set too low and far too wide, ive always worked on the principle of a fist high and a fist should just go through without touching. ive never had any problmes setting my snares that way. good luck and nice garden mate.
