I spoke to him on the phone this morning as I felt its the best way to hear something direct rather than rely on whats said on forums. Mark told me the police produced written, signed statements from members of this site as well as his pms from his inbox. This is as much as I know as Mark wouldnt tell me the names of said people. I told him if it was me and I had a visit from the police, 1) I wouldnt be pointing the finger of blame at anyone except myself for getting myself in that predicament, we all have to be responsible for our own actions at the end of the day and 2) I wouldnt have a problem naming and shaming the people who had stabbed me in the back, they would be nothing to me for doing such a low thing and people deserve to know who are the snakes in the grass. Its very awkward to figure out who is telling the truth, but one thing the internet has taught me is never trust anyone! even people who you know and they look you right in the eye, the only person you can ever really trust is yourself, so be true to yourself and stay safe, and like Darcy says, whatever the truth or lies behind all of this, treat it as a wake up call and think before you post or pm, on any site on the net Link to post

Bit of a cold time of year to be living in a caravan when you've lost your house ......... I don't believe he was ever arrested, nor will I until he shows proof. With regards the police issue, I get the impression from IanB's & J Darcy's post that the police have not been involved in THIS issue but have been involved in different issues in the past. Wondering if these other issues could be talked about openly or at least explained. My opinion, in doing so the site admin puts itself in a strong position in being upfront and open to all members, and also members are going to be left clearly knowing what, when and why. & what shouldnt be said or even hinted at. (would be a good reference/benchmark of not bringing the site into hot water). The post could be made by admin, then locked. In sport, Waz well Waz, basically over the years we have had authorities contact us with regards information on certain people. This can be for all manner of reasons, all of which will be illegal. However, Ian has not given any information away and neither does he have to. I know a while ago there was something to do with Veternary supplies. Now after Ginger French getting a stretch you could safely assume no one would be daft enough....but they are. Either way, no information was forthcoming to any uniformed person. So basically, just carry on posting within the law and everything will be hunky dory. Just to add, i know theres a few "little" sites going now with pics that are , to be blunt, very graphic indeed, together with descriptions. They will get people in a lot of bother. The 'net is not just "you and a few hunters" it can be seen by the world, and i urge people not to be drawn into the trap of thinking that "private" sites are "safe" because in no uncertain terms they are not! I hope this has, to some extent, put peoples minds at rest on some issues they may have been mulling over. Its a shitty, long winded thread but i hope it serves as a wake-up call some. Guest SJM Posted January 6, 2009 Report Share Posted January 6, 2009 I think the only people who can truly put this to rest is Mark by telling the names of the people who he says wrote these signed statements to the police, and those named people getting right to reply to say whether this is true or not. Then it can hopefully be put to rest. If hes banned from here he could write them out on another site and it could be cross posted or he could email it to a member and they could post it. Anyone else think this would be the sensible way to proceed? After all names are being thrown about here, at least 4 so far in this thread, but no actual facts or evidence have been given so far. So that could be construed as slander as Strong Stuff has suggested? Having been a victim of slander on this site myself, I know how annoying it can be trying to clear your name and have people realise that whats being said about you is a load of bollocks, said by sad and spiteful people who need to get out with their dogs or guns a bit bloody more!
