lurchergrrl 1,441
Ya, thinking on it, for that kind of money you could've got her a mediocre ring, a lurcher, a lamping kit and some good wellies. Well, that's what I would've wanted anyway
craftycarper 0
shame not many lasses like you around my neck of the woods, nothing would make me happier than to spend an afternoon together with a fert & dog knee high in mud...that is apart from the expression on her face when i parted with my hard earned cash dinnertime today....should have took a picture of it
craftycarper 0
to tell you the truth i had been looking at another land rover and was quietly thinking to myself Mmmmm i'm halfway there to getting what i want...just have to start saving again
mattydski 560
Thats the last advice I give you Congratulations anyway..i'm sure there is a good one somewhere I hope you found her.
Doglost Co-Ordinator 4
£1800 I'd never specially as things are now. Mine cost £450 a few years ago. Pity we split up after 8 yrs but at least got decent price for ring. Sold wedding ring on Barnsley market one morning whilst doing a boot sale & bought a ski jacket off stall across the way.Still got the jacket- lasted longer than the marriage
shotup 9
i bought my misses a mood stone for in her wedding ring its green when she,s in a nice mood and leaves a nasty red mark on my head when she,s in a bad mood...
stubby 175
As above ...how much would you pay or have you paid for an engagement ring for the other half...i'll see what the serious responses are first before i enlighten you further on the topic... I did'nt, I got her to buy it , being a 2nd time round and having paid quite a bit the first time, you realize the price has nothing to do with it, no amount of money can make it better or worse, both our wedding rings came to less than a ton
Guest foxyjo.
I wouldn't like to buy my own ring!!! Horrors!!! But then, if the guy was like that - we wouldn't get as far as engagement rings! Personally, I couldn't give a damn what it cost, or how big a stone, or what others thought. Everything is relative, if he was a millionaire and bought it for £50 off the back of a lorry...I'd be gutted. But if he was skint, I'd be thrilled with a ring from Argos, and I would hate to think he'd put himself in the clagg trying to buy something he couldn't afford. It would make me sad and spoil it. A ring is a token. As long as it's given with love and all the feeling it's meant to symbolise, that's all that matters. Besides....think of the 'oss you could buy instead!!!! P.S. Mattydski should be worshipped as the GOD he so obviously is!!!!

Marriage lasted 6 years, so far we have been together nearly twice as long as my marriage lasted so i suppose that speaks for itself and if you do the math, then £150 for each year together is hardly much...maybe in another 11 years she'll get the wedding ring
