Kay 3,709
Well if you call doing a tripple salco on your backside as pleasure then yes
lurchergrrl 1,441
I have a solution..... Why not take her somewhere nice to propose...? You could spend less on the ring, you would both share the benefit of the expenditure, say on a trip to Venice, Paris, Rome... Theres some cracking deals, propose over dinner in a romantic location, she'd have bragging rights for weeks with that.. You have change from a grand for both witha bit of careful shopping... ... wow! Nice idea. Perhaps you should be penning Romance Guide for Idiots - most men aren't nearly as clever as that! However, I get the feeling that Crafty's woman would like the big massive ring AND the trip and romance as well. I'm actually a woman Yes but most men still require a Romance Guide for Idiots tho Matty Sorry if I got the wrong idea Crafty, didn't mean to insult your lady. But ... why buy a big flash ring just for the hell of it? I'd rather have a little ring with big meaning than t'other way round. Not that I expect I'll ever have the need to wear one again ... mrs sweepy 0
I never had the engagement ring. My Wedding ring cost £45.(god knows were that is now.) My Wedding dress was under £100 And the whole wedding came in at just under the Thousand pounds. We didnt have a honeymoon either as we both were busy at work. We also had only known each other for about 6 months. Someone even asked if we wanted a pram for as the wedding gift. Should have said yes. Are first baby arrived 11 months later No one thought it would last . So do you think after 17 years of marriage .I can now turn round and say told you so. xxxSuzy

lucylocket 0
when i bought my mrs her engagement ring, i also bough a magnifying glass so she and her friends could see the ROCK!! For Gods sake,if you must get engaged, then buy second hand (call it antique if you like)you get way more for your money. I never had an engagement ring but i did buy myself a really nice antique diamond cluster for my twenty-first. I bought myself an emerald and diamond cracker because I went from being a lardy-arse to something slim. My wedding ring was second hand, and I paid the deposit on that myself. Can you see a pattern? Tell her to buy her own, independent women and all that!

Tiff 36
When Kye & I were married we spent I think maybe 700 quid on 2 nice, weighty plain gold bands (mine is YG, his is WG, they are thick, like 1/4" or so) spent 65 quid for the marriage license AND ceremony at the Drive-Through Wedding Chapel in Las Vegas, wore our own clothes, another 100 quid on a nice meal, and went home to bed ... never changed a thing with us. My father spent almost 50,000 on my little sisters wedding, and unfortunately their marriage did not last. Another point is I can't tell you how many clients I have who lose their rings, or are mugged for them, or lose the stone out of it. Simple plain gold band and you can't lose it nor risk being rolled!
