A lot of copy metal work is made in China, and to be honest the quality is shite. I know this because I deal in office furniture and the Chinese copy metal filing cabinets ect and its shite. I wont sell it because I know that all I will get is hassle when it gos wrong. Sure its cheap, but I dont need the worry. Do yourself a favour and test it to the max yourself, then you can be sure of the quality and you wont get a lot of PMs from lads wanting their money back cause it went boss eyed 3rd or 4th time out. Not getting on your case, just trying to be helpfull. JOEB Quote Link to post

Guest The Big Fish
but it dont stop them working, The difference will be in the quality of the steel and the power of the spring, if the spring is of poor quality it will fail quickly and become to weak, result will be that the trap designed to kill will in fact not. Best not too temp fate and spend an extra few pennies and have a trap that works the way it was designed too and have a trap that last for years. Quote Link to post
moocher 0
Not sure if this helps anyone to make their mind up. I had a dozen Fenn type traps a few years ago. Used them for mink on some of the fisheries I use that had a bad Mink problem. I brought the traps job lot from an auction. Only 5 of the traps had Fenn stamped on the trigger plate. Basically that was the only difference between them. They were all upto the job and I had no problems with any of them. At the end of the day the mink showed no preference for the "stamped" traps Stamped or not they killed the little b*****ds. In all honesty there was no difference in build quality that I could see and they did the job just as well as the branded ones. Quote Link to post
