ferreting courses

Recommended Posts

If you have the land to take parties to ferret, and get good results then I think it could be done. Parties of hawkers pay a decent buck to go out hawking, Lads down our way will think nothing of paying a farmer to go rabbiting for the day. If people can get some advice from an experienced head, bring there own animals to try, and then get shown the right way of doing things, as long as it is not a fortune it could work. (Whin have you any places left? People tell me I'm doing it wrong. They say I dig too much!) :D

ye i no what your saying undisputed , and ye you get eejits saying this and that but thye dont need to go , i went to the boxing as ayoungster paid my due every week ,played pool in glasgow to get in the scottish team piad my way if every body pays something wether money barter ,then you go out your way more to make sure they enjoy as some abuse things for fech all , pheasants you pay for to shoot ,now these people are not clever on here as i see the posts, you seem a knowledgble guy and you no when you see one, so thats good , see if we all paid into the goverment years ago like the yanks ie rabbit licence game licence it would have never got banned , so why not pay a little to learn feildsports i wouldnt charge family freinds etc ,but well i get asked by allsorts so you have to make it pay for your time at times , expierence costs money and time no matter what you do ,as i say family and freinds you look after cheer]f ffs whin you could talk a radio to scrap

after years of working dogs and ferrets and listning to the dribble on here i maybe start ,takeing inexpierence guys and gals out and educate them like no silly book can or dvd ,are there a market for that type of course ,ive had countless people out educated countless and learned a few tricks along the way ,i have the land the dogs the means to do it ,i think its about time people paid for an educaition on hunting they do it in america and other states we are the only country were there few and far between who actualy spend time with young and old people on how to do it properly , and how to learn things with expeirenced hunters who have done it on the big stage for money etc how to learn dog work ,makeing nets ,ferret boxes ,how to no were and how to ferret properly look for signs ,do you think there a market for it

firstly from some of the threads ive seen off you, you always go on about you can only ferret etc if you are from a hunting background (bollocks) so I think you would act all stuck up and stupid to inexperienced people. And secondly we should be trying to help people get into our sport and do it for free instead of making people pay. If you start, i might come and live near you and take people out for free ;)

Dont see a problem in running these courses myself, alot of guys already do it and as long as there good value for money and the client actually learns something i don't see the harm, the only problem which i could see arising is one day you will have a bloke on the course and a month later he will be you main competitor doing the very same thing! Would only be a matter of time before someone took advantage of your knowlege mate, and where theres a buck to be earned youd be surprised how brasen they would be.

not blowing my trumpet mate i say it as i see it but , youll not get a more genuine hunting guy at times but will not put up with fools ,always good value mate , got the dogs ferrets nets show them how to even make nets make knifes for gutting, ferret boxes , but reealy if we dont put in to hunting itll be lost , ive got my nephews iinvolved . few young freinds but some are not into it and some waste your time so if they pay a litle they take intrest i do when i go on courses on health and safety or anything else sea survival etc, , as it comes out my own pocket and you can , answer all sort s about hunting i cant see it being abad thing . nothing ventured nothing lost in my eyes

done the goodness of heart thing it doesnt always work , so now im wary a bit of being to good with informaition and being open , if you pay a bit for expiernce it aint a bad thing you pay in life for most things nowadays ,its not to do with makeing vast fortunes but it helps when you get are turn out of your hobbies and passions ,we are all difrent mate thats how i see it ,if you train for football pratice, boxersize , fishing parties on boat you pay, to me no diffrent form hunting, its a hobby passion like clay pidgoens or anything else if i go coursing i say to the guy do i owe you anything , or can i get you anything if its his land , you obvisily dony pay or you wouldnt question it ,its like in the summer when we take fishing parties the pay afee to cover a mans wages diesel harbour dues and of course boat which can run into 20 gs and more mate
