I mix mine 60/40 water/antifreeze, works a treat.

Wet-suit material is good if you can get hold of it, or you could get a second-hand kiddies wet-suit and chop the arms and legs up into sections to make sleeves.

for the single ferret im looking after,ive made one of these i seen something like this in a pet store for £10 ,its just pvc outer with polystyrene inside works a treat and keeps the water cooler in the summer too and no green either

Yep, i'm sure you could put different stuff in the water and loads of stuff you can wrap a bottle up in, neoprene (wet suit stuff) is great an can be gotten cheaply from those american type bottle cooling covers, bubble wrap too though you'll have to check on a regular basis how much water is in the bottle (as you cant see it when wrapped) BUT if your going to do any of the above, why not just go round you local pet shop, buy a few spare bottles and change 'em regular..... Easy!!!!

nice one for the neoprene idea

been out every few hours changing mine , got a old pair of neoprene gloves with fold back fingers and the bottle fits in spot on
