Mitch 0
Hey guys, this little guy was living around my garden and i managed to find how he was coming in and out of my yard and snare him. After watching Woodgas dvd I lacked in materials especially the brass but woodga set me straight, and i used copper wire instead. Only one drama, i took him around the hips. I beleive this is because the height of the soil was higher on the other side than to where the snare was set. So my snare wasnt high enough... Oh well practice practice practice..... A big thanks too woodga Cheers guys Quote Link to post

DEL 5
take it copper wire does the same job as brass,do you still make them six strand? Quote Link to post
Mitch 0
it does the same job, it catches the rabbits but would had different factors that are not as good i presume. I seriously wouldnt be able to say anything because i havent used brass. But im sure woodga and all those pro's use brass for a reason. Copper has alot memory and bends easily, It doesnt seem to be as springy either. That snare in that pic, i used this electrical copper wire for lighting and stuff in the house, i stripped it down. It was too thick, that snare is only 3 strand. because the wire is thicker, not the best of snares but it worked Quote Link to post
lost scouse 46
mitch did you get a good price on the wire and eyelets thinking of getting some because got woodja dvd and hopefully this is the start of good things Quote Link to post
Mitch 0
I think its a good price. I think it was 20 dollars for 1lb of brass wire, which makes something like 85 snares??? i think. and eyelets where cheaps as chips But if you get that then you can follow the dvd exactly and have some spot on snares just like woodga;s. They where my thoughts anyways Quote Link to post
