Simoman 110
I've just got my first shotgun and with a mate we have some permission for shooting crows, magpies and woodies. We have a hide and decoys but where is the best position for the hide and what time of day is best for shooting. We have been told to put the decoys in a v pattern into the wind Any advice appreciated Also can anyone recommend a suitable brand of cartridge Quote Link to post

PETEWINN 5
If you are on the right field then doesn't really matter how you set things up. The pigeons will still come in range even if you are out in the open and waving your arms around. Normally best to make sure the sun is behind you. Time of day is whenever it suits you best. Pigeon and crows will come from dawn till dusk. Quote Link to post
Guest EWOK
I shoot crows here in the USA and we use electronic calls, can you use these?? Quote Link to post
rifleshooter 0
we can use electronic calls for crow's,magpie's etc but as far as i am aware it is ilegal to use them on wildfowl ,i have used them to draw crows in to quite good effect Quote Link to post
