brookie 1,193 Posted January 10, 2009 Report Share Posted January 10, 2009 brookie my old mate one the cambridge cup twice chocko rocko j thompson s sniper neither owned by travelers or bred by them mate , and many more up our way they buy dogs or chore them but they alot never take the time to breed and get going maybe diff down south whin i know joe thompson hes one of lifes gents and i rated sniper the best dog to ever sit behind hare i dont think any one suggested sniper was owned by travellers but one thing i will say though darren gallagher who bred sniper his mother is of travelling descent ive got stock here by sniper but back tothe post some of my best friends aretravellers and some of the best dog men ive known day and night are travellers people always seem to jump on this trip that travellers dont keep good they cant breed good dogs and they nick other peoples dogs the best dog ive ever seen in my life i own my old duke dog hes traveller bred through and through the best match dogs in the country at present time are owned by travellers (and if anyone dissagrees the match can be arranged ) and traveller bred dogs have been most influential in the breeding of some of the most successful coursing bloodlines in the country today youve only got to look at the charlie dog to see that a very good friend of mine won the forley this year with his home bred bitch whos sire was his old stud dog which he bred as well after winning the forley he sold her for 11 grand on the field he sold her half sister for 4 grand and got two better ones at home this bloke is a traveller hes got his own insulation buisiness and as a number of people working for him another friend who ive spent years with on the fish rabbit catching is a traveller and as good as you will walk with day or night bar none theres good and bad every where but one thing i will say is there is some very very good dog men in the travelling fraternity the same as theres some bad ones Quote Link to post

shaddow 166 Posted January 11, 2009 Report Share Posted January 11, 2009 hill catcher bred wolf i am sure hes not a traveller,the mother of wolf ruthie wasnt traveller bred,also the father casper wasnt the ghost was traveller bred the gaskins,laddy was and the best was annie a south east dog of cource but not many travellers breed good dogs so really wolf isnt traveller bred but heard theres a good lining with him soon he is a top dog for what he was bred for Top dog , Wolfie saw im run many times......even CN Himself gave him a great rating and the mother of wolfie aswell what bitch is wolfie to be mated with ???? pm me if you prefer Quote Link to post

whin 463 Posted January 11, 2009 Report Share Posted January 11, 2009 ive got freinds who are travelers but in general i keep them at a distance until proven other wise , i spent three months with a big traveling lad and we were pals never saw him againg met his family they were fine with me and liked the humour and crack but honestyl ive met some fechers , brookie most of the lurchers mate that are pinched are not by genuine types but thye talk dog and there always scoundrels about them some have no respect , and i take this through expiernce ,met some good ones but alot well wouldnt give them the time of day mate honesty, you maybe no genuine types but i just dont trust them up my way ,once you have dogs stolen you treat them with mistrust ive got roughly got a qaurt sniper in my dogs , rest tor of dartmoor greyhound , good dogs even the pups run cunning and have a brain , nope mate out side a few, wouldnt want much to do with them honestly , cheers Quote Link to post
