LDR 29
Does anyone in the north east know of any good spots for getting razor clams, muscles, prawns or owt like that??? I've seen hundreds of the clam shells on cambois beach but have never been able to find any of the holes you get with them, likewise for prawns, my grandad used to take me as a kid back home and we got loads, but up here i've never got more than a handful!!!! They must be up here somewhere surely!???? Quote Link to post

Malt 379
We use salt to get razors up out of their holes, or take an empty washing up liquid bottle and fill it with sea water to squirt down the holes. On a really low tide, they often come up on their own. You want a really sandy beach, and go down when the tides at it's lowest. Quote Link to post

Doglost Co-Ordinator 4
As tide goes out they start & spray water up. The salt thing works, there's loads on Crinan Beach & round at Minard. Got a few & took one look at em out of shell & decided against cooking em. Once you spot one youll see the 100's that are under your nose & you've never noticed them. Quote Link to post
