pack of dogs 34 Posted January 3, 2009 Report Share Posted January 3, 2009 (edited) my records 81 in one night,the old dog ive got now once got 23 out of 25 slips in 1 field,that was a good few year ago probobly cudnt be done now on that ground the dogs used were just bitzas,best worker to best worker,also got 6 out of six hares running doubled up with my mates dog,his dog broke its leg on the 6th hare so had to call it a night,ive had loads 10 in one night my biggest is 14 hares and few rabbitts,also had loads of decent sized mixed bags Edited January 3, 2009 by pack of dogs Quote Link to post

baldockbanks courser 598 Posted January 3, 2009 Report Share Posted January 3, 2009 22 long ears one night 17/17 one dog why on earth would you want to kill that many hares with a lamp? rabbits are a diffrent matter caus you need to lamp erm to get the runs. id like to see your collies do that in the day! did they die of burnt out reetiner damage? iv been lamping for hares im ashaimed to say and i never liked seeing my coursing bitch running confused animals that runn into your. 15 and 16 RABBITS one week after each other is my modest best with a 20 inch bed whippet x lurcher i breed 12 years ago. with a very strong wind and rain big bags can be taken up the north i know. doxhope 2 Posted January 3, 2009 Report Share Posted January 3, 2009 Killed 5 hares with one dog on the lamp, but an Ashington team killed 24 hares in one night, with one dog 'Paddy' killing 14 of them OOPS sorry, see its about rabbits.. I know the record in the area where I live, Mid Northumberland is 81 rabbits and 2 hares by one dog Quote Link to post
Penda 3,341 Posted January 3, 2009 Report Share Posted January 3, 2009 I aint greedy lads the most i had in 1 night was 10 and that was with my mates saluki greyhound dog i borrowed and the average i have a nite is about 5 to six i lamp nearly 6 nights a week weather prevailing My little bull greyhound whippet bitch can have2/ 3 bunnnies off 1 slip when the nights right Quote Link to post

Haven't lamped for over 2 years but regular over last 20 odd years between 10-30 depending on conditions, was with a syndicate of 3 they were lot younger than me, they would lamp all night, see earlier thread one completed 100 twice and regular 40-60, going back a lot of years in Scotland, lots of rabbits. I have run a collie/ grey. deer/grey x minshaws dog but for last 16 years had ACD X. Quote Link to post
