My lurcher pup is starting to get a bit rough when playing with my terrier.

Its starting to get a bit aggressive.

anyone give me any ways of correcting him for this

And other bad behaviours that will need correcting.

 

Does it happen when the lurcher pup first starts to go into play mode when its full of energy ?

Yes i suppose it is

He gets a run in the garden and chases a ball for a while.

Maybe just allow the pup to play with you for so long & correct him while he interacts with you if he gets a bit to rough, then when he has run of some of that energy bring the terrier in to play as well if its wanting to join in
