Rabbit Hunter 6,613 Posted January 4, 2009 Report Share Posted January 4, 2009 In my mind beating is the best way to get deer during the daytime, you can usually plan where they're going to break cover so you can station yourself perfectly and most of the time get a good run, they usually head for the next wood or bit of rough so that can increase your chances, we did it a lot before the ban...sure miss those days... ferret boy charlie 0 Posted January 4, 2009 Author Report Share Posted January 4, 2009 yeah rabbit hunter i find that they like to head for a strip of trees for some reason the best place that we do has got one strip of trees opposite the woodland one time the deer got a bout ten yards away before the dog was slipped get the heart pumping just watching and waiting Quote Link to post
