well if i were woodga i would be asking to run mark brick as a bye should not be givin at that stage in comp im sure that is more sporting to all left in comp

i agree :clapper::clapper::victory::victory:

The thing is, you two DIDN'T enter the competition, and obviously don't know the rules , so even though you are welcome to your oppinion; it means nothing as far as the comp goes !! If the Olympic 100 meter final has a runner pull out thru' injury; does the runner he beat in the semi get asked to run in the final????? Of course not !

Cheers.

so that way you are saying if mark and ldr both got to final and 1 dog gets injured before the final night the other wins im sure if it was you sat in woodga's seat you would be opting for it and as for me not entering was because at the time i was working 7 days a week 14 hours every day or i would have been in and i will be in the next one

No, If I was in Woodgas posistion, I WOULD NOT be opting for it !! I got beat, as did others, so thats it... I'm out !! You can go on forever with "what if" scenarios, but at the end of the day; if you are in the comp, you abide by the rules, simple as that !! There to many passing oppinions on a comp they didn't enter !! Enter next years comp, and have a say on how THAT one is run; leave this comp to the organisors and the entrants !

Cheers.

In answer to your hyperthetical question...... If one of the dogs in the final got injured BEFORE the final, then I hope it would be given time to recover and the final could be run at any suitable time !! If it was IMPOSSIBLE for a dog to run the final, at ANY SUITABLE time, the other dog would get a bye ! Now let me ask you this... If one of the two dogs in the last Waterloo Cup had been unable to run, do you think a beaten semi finalist would have taken it's place ...........???

Cheers.

Well i'd imagine it'd depend on the people in the final, i'm sure that most people left in would want to see there dogs tested in the final, if i was in the final against say tomo, i'd be happy to wait for injuries to be sorted before it getting run, it would make the comp a farce if someone accepted the win due to injury, i'm sure it wont be a problem though!!! The rule about people stepping in if they had been beat, due to injury was addressed at the time and people didnt think it was something they wanted in the rules, so for this comp it'll have to stay as it is, we'll see what happens next year!!!!

Danny, I may be taking this to seriously, but there are far to many people with oppinions on how this comp should be run, even though when we were struggling to get enough entrants to get it off the ground, they didn't have the Jacobs to enter !!

Cheers.

LDR its just my 2 pence worth of opinion this is the first time the comp has gone ahead and im sure after this one the rules will be correct and won't need changing or bending but you have to see where im coming from i for one would never expect a bye as there always someone who could stand in to run ie woodga !!! Not sure what you mean, but if you mean my oppinion doesn't count now I'm out, then I dissagree !! I paid my entrance money, gave people lifts to and from the station to their lodgings, put up a lad for a couple of days and ran both my heats in the allotted time; so I think I have more right to comment on a comp I was in and supported, than some some one who never supported it in the 1st place !

Cheers.
