New Years Day Chub

Nice cold afternoons fishing produced this, caught it on ledgered sweetcorn with light tackle, first time ive been fishing in ages, well chuffed!

well done. i love fishing for chub, you can always count on them for a bite when the goings tough. i much prefer bread flake though, instant bait if a fish is in your swim

I've caught them on maggot swimfeeder in these conditions. Not brave enough to try bread .

waited about 3 hours, just thinking of packing it in when this one got on.

I've caught them on maggot swimfeeder in these conditions. Not brave enough to try bread .

trust me on this one, liquidise a white loaf minus the crust (cheap as possible) then take a few slices of decent bread for hook bait. then just ball the crumb in or use a feeder. if you have no faith in it then just take it along with your normal bait and give it a go some time during the session. i promise you that if there is a chub there then it should be fairly instant take
