Deker 3,478
what are you planning on hunting with one of those? I was thinking about a long range rabbit tool ............. perhaps Berkshire to Wiltshire sort of range, I know a man who makes a Hot .50 round ..15,000ft lb...yes really.... 15 thousand...the gun can only be used with a ground spike with this ammo or there is a serious risk of injury to the shooter!! Won't do the bunny any good either..pebbledash the whole county I suspect!! BUT...I can't imagine a situation where ANY civilian would get one of these for ANY fieldwork in the UK.... It's a long story......................... Edited January 2, 2009 by Deker Quote Link to post

SportingShooter 0
I rather suspect that Deker is planning on blowing a 15,000 ft/lb sized hole in a piece of paper somewhere Quote Link to post

Dont forget lead coating to barrel can affect also barrel length and bullet weight The science on this is EASY, Demonstrable and Repeatable...speed, weight and a calculater..there is no lead up these barrels and barrel length is dealt with before a speed measurement is taken...as the bullet has left the barrel by then....GROW UP or ...stick to air rifles and your back garden!!! Its not as hard as it sounds as I already have agreement to use the gun in the UK and Military ranges to use it on.... This gun is absolutely banned at Bisley!!, they have just over 3000 acres but are still too concerned at the safety issues to allow this gun to be used under ANY circumstances...just a matter of sorting out all the paperwork to get gun and ammo into the UK...not a quick process...I suspect spring or summer!
