stumpy 0 Posted January 2, 2009 Report Share Posted January 2, 2009 hello lads just to let you know i ferret , shoot with .22 air rifle .22 rimfire .17 rim fire shot gun and long net but i thought as i,ve got a week off for xmas i would try some snares another string to my bow but i realy struggled 1 set twenty wires on a rough meadow i had them down for 5 mornings and ended up with 3 . but a lot of the wires had been knocked and shut up a little (so the noose was smaller) had i set them to high or to low thanks lads stumpy Quote Link to post
borntoshoot 1 Posted January 2, 2009 Report Share Posted January 2, 2009 well im new to snaring but it depends whereabouts on the beats you set them (between them or on/over them) also from what ive heard or rather read from this forum you want it to be about 6 inches from the ground and over the middle of a small beat. hope this helps and best of luck in the future Quote Link to post
