holidays in the uk

Recommended Posts

were about to start the booking procedure for this years holiday, looking to go in JULY (we do them cheap "SUN" holidays, £9.50 each and they're quite good)

Im a bit stuck as to where to go actually, last year we went to cornwall & cleethorpes. COrnwall was good, but i dont fancy the driving again. Cleethorpes was also spot on but was a bit boring.

What region would anybody reccomend to take two kids to? they love going to blackpool, but i couldnt stand doing a week there.

Im thinking about lincs. skegness area, but is there plenty to do?

cheers

When our kids were wee, we used to take them for a week to flamingo land and it was brill. One pass covers all your time there. We used to do the theme park 1st hour in the morning before the crowds came in and then we would go outside during the day to see different places. Then we would come back for the last hour in the park as all the crowds had gone. I liked it as much as the kids. Good pubs, entertainment, food etc on site.

depends what your kids like.mine are 7 and 10 and would rather take dogs and go too lakes or dales or dartmoor.why not try scotland if you are up north.good luck in finding somewhere.the sun holiday brochure is out soon because we have just printed 4 million of them at work. :clapper::clapper: we are off to yorkshire dales at easter.looking forward to it.

we live hr away from skeggy could not stand a week there

i more or less lived there as a kid

SKEGNESS:

lots of donkeys that can hardly stand up(might buy one for a tenner feed the dogs for a couple of week)

80%of shops are pound shops

and the markets are heaving with armarni tops for a fiver

there is a crazy golf though and some fresh seafood stands with half frozen prawns

and if your lucky you can visit the robin hood site for some live entertainment

i feel bad now its alright if your going for a piss up weekend

we usually go on the sun hols, always weymouth for me for a weeks fishing, shoppings not bad for the gals. Loads of places along the coast to visit...durdle door, chesil beach, charmouth and more...go looking for fossils if you like or pop into river cottage to see hfw lots of places of interest and fantastic scenery. Also the lizard at cornwall very nice area to visit.
