FerretJamie 0
Im looking to get a pup next year to work under my hawk. Due to school commitments, it would only be worked at weekends and in my holidays but would be excercised for half hour to an hour daily. It would be kennel/crated during the day and at night. What can people recommend? My terrain is mainly bushy cover (thorns etc.) so nothing with a very fine coat that would be easily cut. Looked at the Springer Spaniel, they are ment to be too lively, looked at my favourite, the Vizsla but there coat is too fine for my terrain, looked at the Labrador, but I just don't like them, looked at the Welsh Springer, but they are ment to have a tendancy to be loud/noisy when bored, looked at the Brittany Spaniel but they are ment to be very highly stung. What dog do you use and why? Thanks in advance. Quote Link to post
labsnlurchers 39
Garypco on here breeds very good working vizlas that handle cover fine, he works his with his hawk. Other option is a GWP, i would reccomend mustwork, google it and youll get their website, they are very nice people and very helpful too. How old are you? are you still at school or are you a teacher? just that if you are young it would be best to get your parents to speak to both parties and let them decide which would best suit you and your family.
