We have to put expanding ammo on our tickets & as said powder & primmers go into a log book. You can use match ammo on vermin ie A-MAX or a matchgrade HP not sure on the FMJ. Quote Link to post

Whilst it may well be preferable to use "Expanding" ammunition on most live quarry in most situations, the only animal that MUST be shot with expanding ammo in England/Wales is Deer. There is NO legal requirement to shoot anything else with expanding....just usually a good idea!! Not sure about Scotland but think it is the same....Ireland may well have other ideas!! v-max 2
Hi sorry but in our area & other parts of scotland expanding bullet heads go on your ticket. The .224 heads ie 222/223/22.250/220swift etc come in 100 heads at a time so you need to be able to purchase/acquire 100 at one time & posses 120-160 etc at one time. Some of the bigger cals come in 50 heads at a time so you must have this condition on your ticket to buy the set amount at one time on your ticket but im ok i can get 200 heads to buy & keep 300 for my 25/06 & 22.250.
