paul the poacher 2
This isn't a dig by the way you say the farmer was watching for a couple of hours so why did the lad keep stepping off his land and onto the farmers with the dogs off lead ?maybe the farmer thought he was taking the piss especially if he made his self seen that is usually enough for most to get off the land ,im no fanny but if i see the farmer where i should not be i move on it avoids confrontation and the possibility of a dead dog. Doglost Co-Ordinator 4
I've read this thread more than once & being involved withDoglost have known others who've lost there dogs for worrying sheep. WHY let dogs keep running on farmers land if you know he's there. Surely common sense should make you think it would be wise to either put dogs on leads or walk away from his land & livestock. He does say one dog had already been worrying sheep. No-one has spoken to the actual bloke himself or the farmer to see exactly what happened. If you have more than one dog as I have they normally all run around together, I feel for the bloke loosing 4 dogs, but were all four in fields where sheep were or just straying over the boundary. As others have said maybe the farmer got a bit miffed at the dogs running in & out of his fields whilst he was sat/stood watching. Maybe he thought the bloke was been clever leaving the dogs to get on with it. Either way the dogs have paid the price for a humans mistake, dont know how he could just leave them there though Quote Link to post
paul the poacher 2
very true mate the dogs deserved a little bit of respect could of buried thhem seen as they died doin nothing wrong in their eyes it was a human mistake a careless one at that its sad to hear they were shot as if they had the intelligence of a human am pretty sure they would not put thereselves in that position but they dont that is the owners job Quote Link to post
rob-s 0
im sorry to hear that the farmer has shot this mans dogs , its a shame and i bet the mans gutted but if a farmer did this to me then im sorry but the farmer has a lot more to lose than me and i would be going to prison now as i would kill every 1 of his sheep now ! Spot on, what gets my back up, is all stock is bred for the dinner plate, and all means to a farmer is money. They dont think of any animal like we do, even there sheepdogs are just a tool to them, and they shoot them once they are to old to work. Go back in the night and kill as many as you can, and hit him were it hurts in is pocket. It might make him not so trigger happy next time. great reply on a working dog site feck me i,ve heard it all Quote Link to post

Yokel Matt 918
I'd like to know what really happened here, sounds to me like a lot of one-sided shit is being thrown around. At the end of the day this bloke shouldn't have been there, end of. Sorry if his dogs were shot but he should have known better, more control and the balls to come out his hiding place after the first shot ... whole story sounds like a load of shit though to be honest. There also seem to be a lot of degenerates on this thread saying they'd burn his barns and kill his livestock. Ok, some of you may be that retarded to think this is acceptable but the rest of you jumping on the bandwagon and more than likely pimpley kids. The hilarious thing is that its obvious who you are, one minute its 'nice dog, how's it bred... i'm going to ask my mummy if i can have one for my birthday' and the next it replying to every topic going offering your 'advice and experiance', and 'i'd kill his sheep and burn his barns. Fine countryman you are, more like towney scum. Pathetic. Quote Link to post
victor 10
^adoo agree with that, he wouldnt sit and wait with a 22-250 or what ever he had until the dog went over the fence. or would get that serious straight away.unless some one had been killing or taking sheep.. Quote Link to post
