dogs shot

Recommended Posts

if you dont want yours dogs shot for being in a ilegal place........dont let them or be be on one!! when you poach you know the score if your dogs stray onto others land you should know the score as well.

what happened to the world? people used to take responsibility for there actions! now its all " its not fare" "the nasty man" etc!!

and as for farmers not caring for there animals its bollocks as a farming familey i know they do care about them ! maybe not in a pet way but they dont want them to come to any harm.and the margins on sheep are very small so any they lose are hard felt.

stick the margins on your sheep up your backside fella. a simple "oh arsehole put those f*****g dogs on the lead or ill put a bullet in them and get the f**k off my land now" would of done instead of being heavy handed comming out blasting like rambo. my dogs are like my kids imagine the horror witness them being murdered in front of your eyes, no good not good at all

well said gaz,spot on :clapper:

spot on. no need in killing 4 dogs. the farmer should burn in hell . if anything i would of shot the bloke up the ass as a warning shot for making the farmer watching him for 2 hours no need in even thinking about killin 4 dogs

3 Whippets and a lurcher..

. All shot for straying out of his own permission and on to another farmers land.

The farmer had watched him, for a cpl of hours. Straying on and off his land where his sheep were grazing.

He had to leave the dogs were they lay and do one... The farmer was backed by 3 other quad riding farmers....

very sad affair but these farmers meant business.....

the dogs were straying for acpl of hours and the lad new he was being wached as still let the dogs stray ther is no menshion of them worrieing stock here but straying yes

but the thing that baffles me is why did he have to leave the dogs ther and run he was doing something that was wrong for a gess its sorry that the dog had to take the rap for the lads imcompitance but thats how it is farmers have to protect ther lively hood naw more then ever like a plumer dose his tooles taking them out of the van at night so scum dose not nick them

its very hard to belive the lad was doing nothing wron when yet the farmer was backed by other farmers

but the saddest thing that gets my back up is he left his dogs ther for the farmer to burn not takeing then picking his balls up and admiting he was wrong pluss let all the dogs get shot ther is something very fish about this thred and runforyourlife im not saying its you but if you can find some more info out it would be good

the farmers side would be great go ask for permision and tell him you will stop any poching going on and get his mind resting and his story

Was out on my permission yesterday, not to far away from the incident.... I took aroute back to my vechile accross another moor which i had never walked but always assumed it was my land..Couldnt quite beleive it when a guy appeared shouting out of a landrover, in the middle of nowhere!! I walked over to the the geezer, he was the landowner, and hadnt been informed about me by the gamekeeper!

He said he didnt really like dogs on his land, but tolerated it from the people who were aloud on. I mentioned this incident, and he said very little about it but admitted that he had heard of some dogs being shot. He also said, that it wasnt an icsalated case up there at the moment. And they were sick of paochers who seem to have got 10fold. He said if they dont keep an eye open even more so now, its going to get anarchy...... And it isnt any good for the lads with permission!!

This farmer turned out to be a descent bloke as we talked and even wished me happy new year as went off!

Will someone please give more precise details, the name of the farm or the area then we might be able to get the other side of the story. I feel so sorry for the dogs but let’s have all the facts to help us make our minds up to what really happened...

i'm certainly not trying to accuse runforyourlife of tellin porkies... but has it occurred to anyone that the whole thing is a load of piss???? for starters its one of those 'i heard from a friend of a friend' stories and the more i scan over it the more i think there is something not right about it... even if it was true i bet if the farmer was able to tell his side of the story i'm sure he could probably tell you that he did warn the wee fecker on a number of occassion and maybe the wee bugger kept comin back with his free running dogs and everytime he did so the farmer was left with sheep under stress... it sounds strange that the cub felt the need to scamper when the farmers made they're way over???

I agree that it is very odd that the dog owner didnt even argue with the farmer over it, Its possible however that the farmer had bad experiences with dogs the previous few days and was on a mission with the red mist in his eyes but somethings not right about this story.

Just my opinion - but if they were able to shoot four dogs (without the fear of shooting the person supposed to be in contol of them (because then they would really have been in trouble with the law), it makes me think that these four dogs were running loose and at a distance from the handler. Surely anybody with any sense of responsibilty would not let four dogs run like that near sheep for twho hours regardless of whether they were 'stockbroken' or not - that is just asking for trouble?

i'm not saying its right but it aint rocket science is it!! dont let them be seen to be running free and let them get in the position to get shot! then dont leg it with out having a word!

my dogs are like my kids too and would not be a happy boy if some one did it to me but then i wouldnt ever get them into that situation just like i wouldnt let my kids play on the motorway then blame the nasty car driver!!

Always a testosterone fueled thread this type but the upshot is -Break your dogs to stock or pay the price .No amount of whinging will bring them back once they are shot .Very poor to own a dog that even looks at the feckers IMO.

Heard of a donkey killed recently by lurchers and a shot dog but that is another story .
