dogs-n-natives 1,182
Ive kept leghorns for eggs, mine layed like machines mate, ive still got one and at 5 yerars old it still lays well! I kept white leghorns, both large and bantam, not much difference in size of egg either, nice white eggs too! Edited December 31, 2008 by dogs-n-natives
Butler 396
nice chooks mate but i think i prefer the slightly prehistoric looking one lol . They are my first choice also but as you probably know they aren't the best of layers this time of year She is only in there as she can't be penned with any other hens at the minute (even stags) but she grew up with the leg horns and tolerates them @ dogs-n-natives They pump the eggs out i only have a quartet but get three eggs every day they out lay most of the red hen strains i have seen.
