Jayd 0
Hi all, I'm curious as to what experience people have had with Jager scopes? I've noticed these: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...A:IT&ih=009 And was wondering what the craic is, whether they're fake, any good, etc. as I have a Nikko Sterling 4 x 32 at the moment, and was considering trying a different type of scope. Cheers. Quote Link to post

philip140 6
one of the many re-branded cheap chinese made scopes, i had one a while back and for the price of it not bad. only problem is that at about 16x+ it starts to white out and at 24x is not really useable especially since it has a narrow field of view. since it is not useable at high mag and is so heavy it kind of rules it's self out, i replaced it with another adjustable parallax scope in 3x-9x with target turrets and never looked back, i would never need 24x for hunting anyway. - still took lots of bunnies with it though!! what will you be using the scope for anyway? Phil p.s. forgot to ask, what is your budget too? Edited January 4, 2009 by philip140 Quote Link to post
Jayd 0
In all honesty, I would probably be looking around the £50-60 mark. I don't want something exceptional. Just to replace the 4 x 32 I have now. Only gonna be used with a HW77, just fancy trying a different type of scope. I've seen the BSA optics, for about £30-40, so may consider one of them instead. philip140 6
take a look at the Hawke sport HD series of scopes. they fit in your budget and for the price i can't believe how clear they are. they stand up well to recoil and are pretty tough scopes. not much to look at, but in the price bracket you mentioned nothing in my mind comes close. made buy hawke, a known company, will help if anything goes wrong - not a seller you don't know from the far east - try sending that back! andyfr1968 772
Have a look at JS Ramsbottoms site. They've got some good deals on Simmons at the moment. I've just got a 1.5-5 x32 for half what I should've paid and it's a lovely bit of kit! Quote Link to post
