I would be putting the right dog at the top Lee..

Ive hunted places where big numbers could be taken, and seen a lot of dogs carried back, both dead and alive..

Yes you need big numbers of rabbits to catch big numbers of rabbits, but, they dont just jump in your bag once your there like some people think....

And as far as conditions wise, I have had a lot of great bags when the conditions were far from ideal, thats when the right person comes in..

So yes, it would take a lot of factors to happen again..but....

Im not doubting anyone but 100 rabbits in one night would take some doing i have had big bags with one dog but nowhere near a 100 bunnys

PACK OF DOGS have you got any pics of this 81 the first thing i would do would be to take a pic

The best haul i've seen was 17 hares and about ten rabbits

i do think 100 per is posible if all conditions are right,ie weather, land ,bunny population.

i dont think in my life time i will ever come close to half of that on the land i go.

im sure we have all had nites were we had large numbers of easy and hard rabbits, the same with small numbers.

my own older dog is by no means anything to talk about and the most rememerable night with him was by no means a big number ,but was more how many rabbits per minute .

100 Rabbits and 1 Dog ? thats a lot of running with out the ones that you miss ive seen that whiteyrs4 personal best was 43 rabbits with his dog

and his dog is really fit you can see that in the pics, it would be nice to see some proof that these dogs are catching this large number of rabbits because there was 3 of us including whitey when his dog caught 43 rabbits and we were absolutely shattered carrying all those rabbits back so 100 rabbits is alot to carry back aswell. Anyway you think youd get bored afte about 50 whitey put you pics up of the rabbits you had when we went lamping!

100 rabbits can be done it has been done and probobly will be done again,,my personal best is 81 in 1 night the dog was bouncing could of kept gone but the lamp fecked up so we had to call it a night,a dont no why people think it cant be done,if you havnt done it it doesnt mean it cant be done

out of interest, what cross was the dog you were running, what part of the country did you get the 81?

id say it could be done, and a lot depends on how you go about it, if you kill 20 then jump back in the motor and drive for maybe 20 minutes to the next spot and get another 20, and so on, the dogs getting a bit of recovery time in between, i know a lot of lads lamp like this, obviously the dog has to be super fit, and have plenty of stamina, then the lamper has to know his job and be selective, then offcourse the ground has to be right and the rabbits have to be their in there masses.....

never been no where near 100 myself with the 1 dog, but i've had good numbers with heavy built bull crosses, some places the rabbits are just plain easy one particular spot i used to do i had 21 in less than 30 minutes with a half cross, but in other spots he struggled to get more than 5 in an hour..... ;)

Am i right to believe that is the pic that was slandered for being 3 seperate outings ? The pic with the minshaw

As i have already said its in 1 night

Minshaws always get slandered so whats fresh? Usually the people who comment have never even heard or seen a Minshaw run before. :realmad:

Im not saying its true or untrue but is that the pic that got questioned to me noone no's what consists of a minshaw dog it just a lurcher with a fancy name like the tumbler and im not in anyway slagging any dog off there must be something good about the minshaw lines as we have all heard good reports on them ;)
