runforyourlife 361
Depends on the water you are fishing... Every angler usually goes at first light, so he covers all angles..... Each water has diffenet times to feed, but as a rule at this time of the year, in bewteen 10.30am and 1.00pm is a time not to be missed. I took part in a study of winter feeding times, for pike and predator, And the main feeding time in bewteen december and febuary on a wide varity of waters was 11,15am... I have caught my least number of big fish at this time of year, and only recorded seven 20's in these two months. The best time for big fish captures is sptember till end of oct, and mid feb till end of april... hope this gives you a little help. im me if you want to ask any more... Quote Link to post

Thank god i wasnt there! or any other descent pike angler! i have fished with ferreter1888 for pike on numerous occassions and all pike have been returned to the water un harmed and fighting fit. so just because you can afford all the gear dont take it out on others who have perfectly good tecniques of handling and releasing fish. Well done on your catch. Quote Link to post
J Darcy 5,871
In one season , on one stillwater i managed 69 pike. I plotted all the times and founf it was morning that i caught the most with the "hot" times being about nine.....also another brief spell of feeding at 6.30 in the evening. Of course, that was only one water for one season....but i thought the results interesting....JD Quote Link to post
