Pheasant Tail 0
I'm another of the Air Gunner & Airgun World buyers and have bought them every month for the last couple of years, also now get the BASC Magazine with my membership which is always a decent read I do think the forums are full of information and agree with a lot of the comments above but I do still enjoy flicking through a magazine rather than just looking at a screen. stealthy1 3,964
This is a double edged sword though... we're trying to promote airgunning so stories would have to reflect that. The airgun magazines know that anti shooting pressure groups read their articles and try and use them to further restrict shooting. This is why they appear to have become more sanitised over the years. It's caused alot of comments to be made, that people are going soft, but it's all to do with protecting the sport for as long as they can. A similar policy would have to be adopted here. Shooting stories are fine. So are pictures of dead quarry, techniques, tips etc. But stories of poaching (aka armed trespass), night shooting game (anything other than rabbit or rat), or taking unsuitable quarry (fox, deer, etc) are strictly verbotten. This is 2009. Our enemies are still among us, still trying to ban us and, at best, restrict us further. I can't let this forum become a catalyst for that so I reserve the right to ask for some of the wording of these articles to be changed, like any magazine editor would. Does that sound fair? Go for it! Quote Link to post

You're so right! There's no way you could allow that without some kind of screen. I think it's a great idea and yes, most of the stuff put in mags now is very same old same old. Does anyone remember Sporting Air Rifle from years back? That seemed much more fresh, even then! Edited January 9, 2009 by andyfr1968 Quote Link to post
