Sir Storm out of Action for a While

Well out lamping tonight rabbits were thin on the ground was out for close to 4 hours only getting 4 runs for storm, on the last run he did well to turn the bunny and it then ran straight for some long dead grass and cover he followed at nearly full speed i then here a all mighty crash and the rabbit came bout out with out storm i immidatly knew somethink was wrong i though he had knocked him self out he then cam running back after a few seconds with a gash on his front leg infront of the elbow it was pissing blood, i got some socks off and tied them around the wound to stop the bleeding which it did and immidatly walked home i did not here him yelp and he walked fine pulling on the lead when spotting a fox in the street he did not seem to be in any pain i got him home, cleaned it up as best as i could with the blood flowing out i applyed a bandage to the wound covered with anticeptic powder left it on while ringing emergancy vets. first one told me know one could come out so i rang another who i spoke to and after describing the accident and how the wound looked and bled she told me it must be a vain as its a constant flow and not a repetitve pumping action and told me to bandage it from foot up past the wound. so now storm is laying on sofa feeling abit sorry for him self and i am drinking cans of energy drink to stay a wake to keep and eye on him.

he has a couple more scraps and was lucky not to loose an eye as he has a scratch on his lower eyelid from the barb wire which was for some reason extra thick. there is no love stock in this field and the field is fenced off and then for some reason they have barbed wire invisable going diagonly across a corner of field Wankers no need to be there what so ever.

Happens to the best of us mate, hope he makes a speedy recovery. Its minus 6 here at the mo so cant get over the door. Hopefully he'll be back to his old self in no time. I take it you'll have to postpone your match with MB...looking forward to this match up and how it pans out....ATB .....NB just read the other posts I cant believe that folk are saying you should forfeit the match....surely in the interest of GOOD SPORTSMANSHIP you would want to put your dog against the best and not progress because a dog is injured. The wound will heal in a couple of weeks there would be no real disruption caused by wating....C@MON MB do the right thing

i have'nt read the rules to this comp and to be honest i cant be bothered to either, but would it not be possible for WH to run one of his other dogs (providing he has others that is) after all its the taking part that is supposed to count, not what your running........

i cant see why mr Brick cant put the the date back a little, that dog should be right in a fortnight ???, i'm sure no one with a dog as bulled up as cat would want to go through on a bye any way as it proves fuckall, let the dogs do the talking....

This is my opinion only and don't want to be slated for it but if world hunter cant manage to run his dog why cant the last dog world hunter beat run again providing he can run the set date for mark it just seems pretty naf that there are bye's at this stage in the comp

Vet has told me that it is the vain that is punchered and that he may not be able to run for maybe up to 6weeks as the vain could just open up again and then its back to square one.

World.Hunters needs to confirm he's out yet???

 

So far all he's said is that if he cant run on the 6th then he's willing to pull out!!!

 

Rew and tomo will tell you the same, that when bruce hit that wall i didnt think he'd be able to run, and seeing as it'd already been put back twice, i was gonna pull bruce out, but After some advice and a few days rest he was looking better and managed to run fine!!!

 

Injuries have a habit of looking worse sometimes, but obviously W.H knows his dog best, but the 6th has been set as the date by me for numerous reasons and thats when it's gonna have to be run by!!!

its out of your own interest not running him mate no point in trying to rush him fit you could just cause perm damage,

Can't have been much of a vet; that should have been trimmed, closed and dressed !
