Guest Countryboyo
Hi lads (chonas ta tu) How are you! I have been hearing of lads in my area using ridgeback crosses on all quarry and I was just wondering how they would differ to bull crosses in the field. What could one do better than the other etc?? Guest Countryboyo
i personaly dont think there is any diference in the field between them there just seems to be more proven ones in the bull xs , Wel ive heard that a ridgeback will do anything a bull will while avoiding getting as much stick but the bull suits people that are in the game for the image better. I have seen full ridgebacks run and they are faster than full bulls and very powerful animals. Im sure the full bull has a stronger bite though. Quote Link to post
Simoman 110
A bull cross wont have the ridge down its back Quote Link to post

donk 12
Theres supposed to be a lad round my way saying his ridgebacks are doing stuff, ive seen his dogs theres no way his are doing what he reckons. Pre-ban ive ran mine against foxes, doubled up cos the bitch is just a little un and im not risking her on her own. Mine are lurchers his are ridgebacks, ive seen a good old fox turn my two inside out,so his ridgebacks wouldnt stand a chance at grabbing them, far too slow. As to the crosses,i wouldnt know, never seen any to be honest. Quote Link to post
Guest Countryboyo
Id love to see a ridge cross in action out with a bull cross just to see how they would differ. from what ive seen of my buddys ridge there is no lack of drive. Quote Link to post
Little Butch 16
They might have the Drive but are they Game enough to do the job over and over again? Butch Quote Link to post
Guest Countryboyo
They might have the Drive but are they Game enough to do the job over and over again? Butch Maybe but werent they bred for tougher game than we have. Lions etc? Idspose this would be long gone out of them by now but i would love to see 1/4 ridge 3/4 grey in action to see how it would do but id spose the lurcher breeds we have at the moment are there for a reason - Edited December 30, 2008 by Countryboyo Quote Link to post
