On about nets I ve got some of the normal horrible nylon ones and also bought some at the game fair this year that was not hemp but a new material that works just as good as but doesn t need hanging to dry and it s nice to work with too - doesn t tangle like the horrible ones. Any one have any idea what material it could be ? I need some more nets badly and I m happy to try and make my own but don t know what the material it could possibly be.

Remember I m quite new to all this so thought I d ask some of you experienced ones that use the different types of netting.

Tara.

I've made my own nets for years now, but when I first started with them I used garden twine to practice with. Almost like using hemp, and I prefer using hemp too. the three ply stuff is my prefered choice. I have knitted nets using a thread call tiger thread that they use in saddlery its very strong and makes some realy good netts but is expensive. They are my favourite nets of all.

Cheers Weedy.
