nice one mate . nothing wrong with showing your dogs although i think some people on the hunting sites will disagree. but i think there should be shows souly for working dogs and when these shows are advertised it should be stated clearley that if you do not genuinely work your dog regulary to any given quarry do not enter. there should be no points diducted for scars knocks bumps , injurys that have healed through work in the field. so long as the animal is in good nick scars and medals should not go against them. let people who like the lurcher as a breed or who have took a lurcher from rescue centers show their pride and joys at non working lurcher shows. what i have noticed when attending shows are that judges tend to pick dogs that their mates who judge have picked at previous shows , it seems they seem to feel obliged to pick the same handful of dogs owned by the same handful of owners. iv also seen owners usually the same bunch if not placed virtualy dragging their poor dogs out of the ring in the huff some going as far as chastising their animals. keep these shows fun and fair and may the working dog in the best nick on the day do well. :good:

thanks for the great replys lads,like max hardcore said i think showin is a bit on the fixed side me self,

:ph34r: i put the bitch in the smooth under 23 inch and there was a dog there that ad seen more work

than most to be fair and mine an this dog didnt even get a lookin the last three,which pissed me of a bit

as it says on the card working dogs,and u wouldnt of found a betta example of a workin dog than that dog.

in the end a dog that won it looked like it hadnt even seen the out side of the house never mind a good day/night out,after this i was a bit dis heartend and wasnt gonna put my dog in the bull cross but another pint

later and some encouragement from my mate it was put in and to my suprise won, :good: but i totaly agree with max about the workin section it should be judged ferly on the dog an [bANNED TEXT] it has done well im goin to get pissed as its easter cheers lad

jon :good::good::good:
