I have lost of land which i am aloud to shoot on and i have shot on there in the past with my junior SMK break barrel rifle, it has now got alot of faults which can't be fixed and i am thinking of getting a new air rifle for shooting rabbits woodies and feral pidgeons, i don't want it to be to expensive(no more than £300) i bolt action would be better but if i can't buy one with that money then i'm happy to get a break barrel rafle.

So which one should i get?

thanks

Lucky Greg, with lot's of Land to Shoot on ;)

Again Check out your local Air Gun Club and see what is about

Also a Chance that there might be a decent 2nd Hand Gun for Sale

As most clubs have a For Sale Table where Shooters sell on unwanted or earlier Outfits

Might also find a Shooting Mate through the Board who can show you the best was of reducing the numbers

and keeping the Famer / Landowner happy

HW80

AA S200

Rapid

BSA super Ten

best to find a club or go to a shoot and try a few, most guns today are pritty accurate so it's more of a case of trying to see what you like or what suits you best.(same for the caliber... they both work...)

Ratcatcher ftw only 100 odd quid for the king ratcatcher great for small game and light to carry around.

On the other hand the AA S310 is quite a nice gun and i saw one for 300 quid.

Sam

Is the ratcatcher the same as the king ratcatcher?because if they are, the ratcatcher is meant to be a good light, accurate gun but not very powerful, only useful for shooting rats and pigeons around a yard,i'm not sure this is true but that is what i have been told. Does anyone hear know much about the BSA tactical Xl because im thinking of getting this.

thanks

lol oh nooooooo not more recoil lol sy.. makes no odds the pellets left by the second wack of the recoil.. yu get used to wat ever you shoot, if the .22 pellets dont suit you wats a miniscule more recoil going to hurt...

i've sat with a guy making 15mm -20mm holes at 50 yards measured with a .177 HW80... so wat about the recoil?

I whole-heartedly agree with you there Sam, and I'd also rip his/her arm off to get one for that price (if i had enough of the folding readilly available, that is! ).
