longdog 0
have had a couple of my terriers get their way into the chocolate bowl on occasion. Things to consider... size of the dog and the type of chocolate. Milk chocolate will make them feel a bit poorly, but won't kill them. It's the dark chocolate that can be real bad. My vet recommended that I give them a large syringe full of hydrodgen pyroxide down the hatch. They'll not keep anything down with that. A lurcher size dog will take an extra syringe full more than a terrier. I've got an especially sneaky little bitch terrier that was nursing a new litter of pups. The vet said chocolate milk of any type would not be good for the pups and so she has the dose and a minute later she was painting the inside of her crate with a nice coat of chocolate. Hope she is doing well. Mike Quote Link to post
