Meerihunter 7
I don't really know what to say here as still can't believe what has happened today. I was out with my 3 Salukis and the Bedlinton Terrier when a Roe ran past and Tariq gave chase only to trip and fall in the heather, nothing I've haven't see before in fact I've seen far worse falls from them however Tariq never got back up and there was no noise from him. When I got to him he was totally motionless and limp, he still had a heartbeat but was not breathing and his tongue was blue. I breathed for him for at least 20 minutes before I had to except I had lost him. I'm absolutely devastated and am still trying to get my head round what has happened I can only think he must of broke his neck. Quote Link to post

Meerihunter 7
I'm holding on to the thought that the last thing he saw was that white backsid only yards in front of him. He is the 3rd dog I've lost in field but never gets any easier to come to terms with. RIP Tariq Quote Link to post
Doglost Co-Ordinator 4
So sorry your day ended with losing Tariq. Little consolation that it happened whilst doing what they love to do the most. Quote Link to post
Guest SJM
Sorry to hear that, these things are part and parcel of hunting, sadly, but you mustnt blame yourself allthough its the first thing you usually do when something like that happens He died doing what he loved doing which is the main thing Quote Link to post

Sorry to hear the bad news mate, at least Tariq died doing what it loved, no consolation I know but even though we always know we run the risk every time we run them but it is still devastating. RIP.
