shooting insurance

looking at getting my insurance before i pick up my tikka t3(getting screwed) and need your opinions on insurances that you have and why..

Just done mine again after a break from shooting. Was always with BASC but no more was about £21 12 years back, now £65

 

Just joined SACS, £30, but £22 the first year if you are a member on here. Do a seasrch, this has recently been well covered.

BASC, just over a pound a week for full membership, 3rd party and personal liability ins, very helpful in my experience with enquiries regarding my firearms.

Also a prominent Association with a strong political voice, although there will be some who disagree

Several Organisations offer insurance...be very careful what you actually get!!

 

BASC is probably the best, especially if you qualify as a Game Keeper...read up on the definition....also a lot of experience and good backup.

 

But SACS does appear to offer good value!!

of course if you have an accident and want to make a claim it will be made on your house or life insurance and not on your shooting organisations.

providing you have house and life insurance.

basc thats because they do trade as well sacs is good

BASC do far more for shooting. It is more expensive, but you get much more bang for your buck.

got my insurance thru the scottish gamekeepers association

 

was many moons ago with basc but wouldnt go near them!!!

 

i had a mate who got wrongly accused and arrested, he then approached basc they said they wouldnt be interested.....excuse me you advertise legal help!!!!..........sorry dont think your case is worth it!!!!!!!

 

ok so went to court against police ...all charges THROWN OUT!!!!!!!! as should have been!!!

 

all guns re-instated etc!!!!!!!

 

basc advertise they have legal representation but dont tell you its if they see fit to step in!!!! so pay yer money take yer chance of help ???!!!
