Hinksy1 0
Afternoon folks, I'd always thought that my main dive bottle which I've had from new was a 7 litre, then I saw another 7 litre last weekend and it was a touch bigger than mine and the guy who's bottle it was suggested mine may be a little smaller than 7 litre. Not that it's particularly important but as I've just had it proof tested I may sell it soon and get a 12 litre so I'd like to be able to advertise it at the correct size! I bought it 10 years ago so I can't even check the receipt, it was bought from Uttings as a Falcon bottle (it has the Falcon logo on the guage) and I bought it as part of a package with my FN19TW. Okay, sizes are 45cm overall bottle height (excluding guage, just the actual yellow bottle), 40 cm to the shoulder of the bottle, the flat base is 12cm diameter, the bottle circumference is 40cm. The test pressure is 460bar, the working pressure is 300bar, stamped on it is '5l' among other things so does this mean it is a 5 litre? I've asked this question on another site and the guy I was talking to said the dimension I'd given weren't correct to make it 5 litres in size??? Btw, it's NOT magnetic so it can't be steel I presume? Thanks in advance, Ben Quote Link to post
webber 2
Have a look at the stampings on the cylinder. Then look for WC, and find the numbers after it. thats your answer. webber Quote Link to post

Does that mean 2.5litres or 5 litres, physically it's size is much bigger than my shooting buddy's 3 litre bottle but as it's not magnetive it must be an aluminium bottle which would mean it has thicker walls hence smaller capacity so 2.5 litre could be right? What do you think. Ben Quote Link to post
clubshot 22
There is No Standard Size Air bottles in Any BAR 207/232/300 Faber are slender longer Versions Forget where Falcons got there from Aware of Bottles coming in from Europe by Webley and others Was Originally made for Medical Use......... Yes 12. Litre is Best - aware of larger 300 Bar Bottles But Hell to move Around These Day's would be worth buying a New Bottle and keeping it as spare As resale value is not that great .........
