shaun v 3
chalker you are saying flint could only kill early season hares . he took hares from october until march on small or fen land. won a 12 dog stake at 11 mths old against seasoned dogs that didnt kill out that day on bottenless ground he took 4 out 4 at 11mths . his last time out he took 5 at bedford that was febuary chilli off here was there when he took 6, he could have been a legend if i didnt have him and some one else who only went out once a week that only gave him 10 yard slips and would put him away after 3 runs. but the 6 seasons i ran him he didnt stop he ran with his stoppers hanging off were others would have pulled up. the last season i ran him he was laid off a couple of weeks and the first run he had a week before xmas lasted nearly 10 mins but within a few hundred yards of the run he opened up his stoppers but the dog kept at it even wanting to fight other dogs off his catch. for anybody to say a dog is great they would have to watch it over a few seasons and not from watching a video or watching it run in a competition at the end of the season come on kevo lets ear about your dog Quote Link to post

SV do u really think Flint could of been a legend ,if some one els owned him , could u not get the best out of him, as for running him with his stoppers hanging of thats stupid on your behalf, dont u think...how many times a week did u run him , and how many hares did he run???? hi what abount the forley cup 2001 the angels of the north like annie blondi and fettle they wear good hare dogs and can u tell me much abount fettle was she bred to a dog name smokey from leeds thank u I am sure maxhardcore or a freind of his has one of the above dogs from Smokey X Fettle ??????? Blaze 49
my mate had a dog from foxy/charlie it was a loony, it has to be the nastiest dog alive My mate had a dog from this litter called "pillot" which was the sire to my bitch the dam is a bitch called "suzy" which is out of gaskins "ruby" to a dog called "spider"...my mate paid £5000 for suzy and she has produced some absolute belters...the sire "pillot" was bought back of my mate by nuttal who apparently had high hopes for him until whilst out trotting him he got run over by a lorry....The previous litter to my bitch was out of "suzy" again but to another straight nuttal bred dog called "brad" which was foxy/coldfields joe and the bitch my mate got out of this litter was outstanding...iv seen her run a january hare down lincoln for near on 5 mins kill it then straight away get on another she spotted 150 yd away and course that for a good 3 mins and kill that!...she regulary came home with 3 out of 3 but my mate didnt want her to be known for some p***y to come nick her which they tried once and knicked the wrong dog but we got her back!.....better shut up now but all this coursing talk is bringing back some memories that il never forget! inan 841
i too think a lot are well over rated... the bitch dancer should be classed as a legend for winning the forley and the doubles in one season, and a bitch from don southard witch won 3 competitions, 3 weeks in a row i think it was called lady. id of thought foxy was more a legend than snowy. but thats jmo.don southerd's lady was a legend, an absolute hare coursing machine, i've seen her obliterate other dog's when doubled up, and i've seen her kill plenty of good strong winter hare's, got to have been the fastest, most determined bitch i've ever seen. do you know don? don southerds lady wasnt the fastest dog ive seen in fact ive seen it led up sevral times indoubled up meetings but she was certainly determined the best doubled up dog ive seen , jacko from the calendar club had a dog of similar calibre called midnight.
