hubbs 178
My parents came to my to drop presents off for for my ten month old , when both my dogs a 7 month old lurcher and a 2 half year old gsd were playing in the garden( normally best mates ).. The missus called them in to say hello and a fuss and put her finger in a hole in his side.. I make sure the garden has no sharpe objects on regular occasions and have since checked and nothingso am thinking mabe the gsd has gabbed him and tore him, has anybody came acsross this before , as my brother was saying they have very soft skin and is normal.. I wouldnt be that fussed if he was older as he is a worker well will be and at 7 month concearned me a litte.. I have cleaned it but was wondering the best way to deal with these injuries. . It is a v cut the size of a 50 pence .. Any help with this issue please.. Quote Link to post

donk 12
A cut that size will probably be ok just washed with warm salty water, but, make sure its well washed out and that theres no crap inside the cut. Wash it a couple of times a day for the first 3 days, keep an eye on it in case it looks infected, but it should be ok.If youre not sure go to the vets, though obviously they will take your eyes out for the pleasure of antibiotic jabs and tablets.
