trust me dont get it powder coated it will ruin a good rifle i should know i used to be a powder coater and i did one of my guns seemed like a good idea at the time :cry: :cry: :cry:

:blink: well,thats powder coating out then! :o think i might just have the gun blacked instead!seems the easier option!anyone know the ins and outs of sending an action,barrel and silencer to be blacked? price,time,prep etc?

:hmm: what about steel though?can it be anodized to a similar finish to alloy?or is there a similar finish that can be done?

you can only anodize ali mate thats it on steal you can chrome plate it

 

but with all this you make the parts bigger i mean the size changes

yeah,i did think iabout the size issue. seems anodizing would be ok and i also thought about maybe not being able to anodize steel!(as you pointed out)don't want chrome,want a dark colour so that narrows it down to black now!lol

Im sure ive heard of a guy in `Manchester` ? ( i think ) that does air rifles all colours ( anodising ) not sure where i heard it though .

you can have it nickel plated a chap at our club had his done from ripley rifles on his ar5 looks smart but no good for hunting to shinny
