claybusers al 9
started using a cd in the car stereo pulled a big dog fox in from over 1000yds that we have been trying to get for weeks good result Quote Link to post
Merganser 0
I’ve had various results which is the same with hand calling which is the main way of attracting attention. If lucky to bring it closer to the danger zone then its field craft all the way. The thing/gizmo whatever you want to call it, is another tool for you to deploy against that elusive quarry. I tend to use mine with a rabbit decoy (Rabbit skin over wire) which also employs a child’s toy to make it move a little. Varying results over the years. Quote Link to post
SNAP SHOT 194
to key to getting the fox to believe its something he wants is to keep the call real, don't just leave the call on for a few minutes, try about 1 minute then pause for about 30 seconds, then call for a short period of time like 20 seconds and stop, try to make the fox think he animal is getting its breah so to speak, this way it seems more real than just a continous noise so to speak........ charles 0
varying the volume according to distance the fox is helps. full volume at 1000 yards is all good and well but at 50 yards you must adjust accordingly! Quote Link to post
