phil wright 2
THE ONLY WAY TO GUARANTEE YOU CHOOSE WHEN A TERRIER FIRST SEES A PARTICULAR QUARRY IS TO KEEP IT ON A LEASH.I DO HARDLY ANY EARTHWORK BUT ALL MY YOUNGSTERS HAVE SEEN A FOX BY A YEAR OLD.IF YOUR OUT REGULARLY RATTING AND BUSHING IN WINTER ITS INEVITABLE IMHO Quote Link to post

Did the geat man breed away from earth going stock to create the best ratting dog alive or has the JRT influence ensured there is still the desire to do battle underground? ps not a dig at anyone ,if you pardon the pun. phil wright 2
i disagree millet mate but i wont argue over it. Quote Link to post
Squirrel_Basher 17,100
What i want to know is will they work week in week out to fox and stay to be dug to like other breeds or has this been largely bred out of them .Not knocking other forms of terrier work I just want to know. Dont be shy ,say it as it is.YES OR NO . Quote Link to post
phil wright 2
i honestly dont know,as ive said i wasnt able to get enough work for them to show either way. i know a couple of lads that claimed to use theirs regularly out with hunts but only have their word for it i never saw it myself.but that was at least ten years ago. foxdropper i dont think anyone is using their plummer regularly to ground, and if thats the case then pups being produced arent from working stock so id say that NO THEY WOULDNT WORK WEEK IN WEEK OUT!! Guest GLENN WELSBY
May sound strange even daft but she looks too macho and well built for a plummer bitch... Here have a dig at my dog and his daughter The above BICTH Rosey is regsitered with the EPTR AND PTA as wyremead suzi bred from wyermead shoda (lacey ern x wyremead harlow) the sire is Wyremead BO by Wyremead Cereberus basically a purebred line and a good hunting line taboot. Must admit Im pleased with this line. very typey a litte bully headed perhaps but good enough. I would recomend Wyremead Ransum for the next generation, providing the nose voice is aparent in the field. Its good to see Plummer terriers coming up everywhere..these look nice but not my type..
