borderboy 80
A brilliant idea, I'd be interested in a trip, I would be willing to pay $150 or so a day... Let us know how the idea progresses, sounds like you'd be able to offer a unique experience...
Kye 77
Thanks for the interest guys!...ive had quite a few PM's..lol. As i said, i wouldnt want to be a rip-off!...that is NOT what i want to do...and its not what its about anyway!...i just think it would be nice, to offer guys an exsperiance that they may not have had the chance to do before!... There are guys over here, that DREAM of some day, getting lucky enough to 'draw' a tag for a trophy bull elk...there was a guy on TV that i saw...he was an older gentleman, of around 60...he had put in, every year, for 25 YEARS to draw a tag for a Big Horn Ram,...he finaly got drawn for the tag, and he was crying with joy!...it was his passion!...the poor f****r died about 3 days before he set of for his trip!... ...he had one thing in life, that he wanted more than ever, and he never got chance to do it!...as they say over here,.."That just f*****g sucks man!".. Rich people over here pay upto, and some times MORE than $25000 to shoot a Bear, Elk, Mt Goat or whatever...and they may only see one!,...and not bag it!...f**k that... Maybe our outfits website could be called Thehumbleconeychasers@poormanshunting.com...lol. As i said guys, this is just an idea right now, that we have been throwing around, nothing more!...but it is summat me and the Wife would love to have a crack at doing!... At the moment, i think $1000 per person, per week is reasonable?..(NOT including flight fee's, they would of course vary)...if we didnt get as much game as i thought we should have, then i would be open to giving some money off, or maybe a discount for a next trip?...which is un-likley to be honest, as the type of hunting that i would want to show people/let them exsperiance, just about gurantees you can get as much or as little as you want,...you normally just run outta dogs!..lol. Maybe do group packages?...father and son packages?, etc.. Jay,.. PS...Oh and Si, if you wanted to come over, i would charge you DOUBLE!..LOL...(just joking you messer!) Tiff 36
Chiming in here ... I would want it to be economical, so that the average joe could come. Having a bunch of rich dicks treating us all like the hired help is not what I have in mind. Yes I'd want it to be the "trip of a lifetime" for people, but not if it's only what someone could afford just once! Most of what we hunt doesn't require tags, so the licence and tag fees would be minimal, unless you were after something specific during certain seasons. My mother ran a Bed & Breakfast and catering company for years so it's in my background. I rode horses from infancy, so that's another part we'd like to incorporate if there is a calling for it. And Kye loves nothing more than hunting at all times of the year, day and night, with dogs, guns, rod, knives, spears, BOP, whatever... he loves it all. And Kye didn't mention it but I am a kick ass cook ... seriously! Whether it is frugal, inexpensive food, campfire cooking or gourmet cuisine, I can do anything quite well. (Not to toot my own horn, but it's true!) I like clean, simple food with top quality ingredients, and like making healthy food that tastes incredible. Living with a Caeliac I have all sorts of special diet cookbooks and love trying new things. A few people on here have free passes here anytime, you all should know who you are! Ratkilla I have a few new recipies to try out on you when you are here next month, and please don't forget my tea!
lurchergrrl 1,441
Sounds a dream, I'd love a holiday like that. Especially the horse riding bit. I'm not much into digging but the rest of it sounds grand. What if someone had, say ... three kids with them?
pointer 543
kye that would be great value for money.
Tiff 36
If you were willing to travel with them, we could surely accomodate you and probably set up sitters so you could have non-kid times out ... each trip and situation would likely be different. Fabulous! I'll tell Snoop to start saving now ... I hope you guys can get this off the ground, it sounds like you'd enjoy it as much as your guests.
Kye 77
Bring as many kids as you like!...there would likely be enough coyotes etc need skinning out, plus dog/horse mess to deal with!..lol...the more help the better!...plus in Wyoming, there would be enough snow to build as many snow men as you like! Kye..
Tiff 36
We would enjoy it! The only thing holding us back right now is being saddled with a property in another state where the real estate market has crashed hard :realmad: so nothing can happen with the 'hunting lodge' until that gets sold, or we win the lottery  But I admit I've been doing some online searches for property! Oh and to put the dollar versus pound into perspective, $150 is 100 quid and $1000 is 680 quid
will.f11 24
that is a hell of a good holiday opportunity. If it takes you a few years to get running i will be 16 + and have enough older mates to come and enjoy. So I would be very interested as its not much money either, for what it sounds like.
