Rolfe 2
Well it's that time of year again.....Another few hours and yet another Merry Christmas will be put to bed for another 12 months (Yippee i hear you cry). It's been a bit quiet on the forum so thought i would put some pictures up of my working team It is a pleasure to be out with these three as they work as a team and seem to all understand their roll in life and what they are expected to do. Firstly the wee terrier...she is a border/russell cross and is gamekeeper bred. She belongs to my Ex really.......but spends most of her working time with me. I have tried in vain to let her have her coat stripped out but she will have none of it, so i let her take all the burrs out of her coat at the end of a workout The black/blue is a beddie/whippet...with a touch of Greyhound in his make up.......he is one of Phil Haynes "Poachers Pocket" lurchers and is without doubt the best rabbit/net dog i have ever owned.......it has a nose that would put many pointers to shame........and seems to find anything and everything. Soft mouthed, and steady as a rock with ferrets he is a joy to work with. Lastly the black and white bitch is a three quarter collie/grey cross, although her ancestry is a bit murky as is mine She is super super fast........and her initial burst of speed is awsome. She will walk behind me at heel all day until the action starts.....then she runs ahead to be with the other two......they always work the hedgerows about 10 yards ahead of me. Her only fault really is she tends to be a bit hard mouthed at times.......but as long as it results in a dead rabbit then my customers are happy. So...........thats my team..........lets have a look at yours and tell us a little bit about them. Quote Link to post
