Been listening to some of the troops who are serving overseas in Iraq and Afghanistan on the radio at work this week. I have nothing but admiration for these young lads and lasses, all very professional and probably the only thing that makes me feel proud to be British at the moment. :notworthy:

yeah been listening to it on jeremy vine on radio 2 , all the best to the loved ones of these chaps and chapesses who are doing stirling work out in strange lands.

 

be safe and see you in the new year as by the sounds of it you may be coming home :)

all the best to them home from they family for christmas is not so bad its when they dont come home is the main thing :thumbs: lets hope they all return home safe and sound and all have a nice christmas

Same here i join the army January the 19th so hoping of making somthing of myself.

 

what you joining mate, i'm a recruit instrctor at pirbright. i'll miss your induction as my troop paasout the following week, but if its pirbright you come to i will know your instructors.

 

As for the troops serving overseas, my old troop from my home regiment is out there now, me and the wife sent them some good prezzies :p

merry xmas to me brother who is in afgan at this very moment. dont worry mate i'll keep ya misses warmed up for you LMFAO luckily all the tours in iraq and afgan ive done have been through the summer, just done 4 years with the anglians at pirbright, great bunch of lads. the guys out there will be making the most of it mortors or no mortors you cant break a squaddies morale on xmas day!
