John-B 4
anyone ever used them to work with? either as pointing dogs or running dogs? I have one here and he is built like a whippet but never took him out as he gets off the lead and just runs and runs, hence i always take out my flat coated retriever but he is starting to frustrate me by being noisy and fetching nothing but rotten old dead rabbits back that he has found

Malt 379
Dalmatians have a long history of being coach dogs. They were bred to run after the old horse & carriage for mile upon mile. I'm not sure what sort of hunting instinct the modern breed has got though.
