glamour 1
Hello all, i know there's a lot of people on here with kids.. Also that there's bound to be some electrical wizz kids knocking about! My question is have any of you seen those electric quads? They're about the size of a 49cc mini moto type quad, but obviously electric. Some are 12v, 24v, 36v and i've seen one that's 48v 450w but i can't actually find a place that sells them anymore. If you watch the video on the right of this page you'll see that for an electric quad it's pretty nippy. http://vzaar.com/auctions/24305-48-volt-45...d-bike-for-kids I've watched videos on youtube of people with upgraded motors, controllers and batteries in similar type atv's, you can buy larger parts from ebay to make them do 30mph+ easily. I was wondering if anyone had seen them on their travels? I'm looking for the kids size so i can throw it in the back of my work van easily. There are adult size electrics but they're far too big and expensive. Cheers lads

glamour 1
ps i think that vid might be speeded up a bit.... how old is the lad? I dunno about that, but you can see videos of the tuned up ones on youtube. I'm planning on fitting two 36v 800w motors, which will be powered by 6 x 12v batteries and 2 x 36v speed controllers. I think it should do 40mph+, which is plenty for me. I havnt got the room for a full size quad, if i did i'd have a polaris ktm powered outlaw.
